For applications where panel-to-panel contact is required. It fits a simple oval rebate and can be recessed into the edge of a panel of at least 28mm thick or the face of a panel of at least 18mm thick.
Both parts of the connector are moulded from 30% glass filled nylon PA6 - a strong and robust engineering polymer. As a general guide, four Button-fix Type 1 Flush fasteners on a vertical panel will support loads weighing up to a maximum of 100kg (220lbs), provided that the screws and substrate are properly matched and all other installation instructions are complied with. Manufactured in the UK.
When you require a strong yet demountable connection between panels with no gap between them, Type 1 Flush is the ideal choice.
Typical uses include:
The Type 1 Flush Fix fits an oval rebate measuring 22 x 56 x 8.1mm deep. It can also be used surface-mounted, creating an 8mm gap between the panels. Engage the Buttons in the Fix and slide the panel down by 15mm, until Button-fix goes 'click'. The Type 1 Flush Button-fix can be configured for sideways assembly too.
The Button Marker for both Type 1 and Type 3 helps to quickly and accurately align the Button-fix installation, reducing the need for measuring and marking out.
Snap a marker into each Fix, then position the second panel and press firmly. The marker points will leave indents in the panel surface, which can be used as pilot guides for the Buttons.
The Multijig helps when machining the oval recesses required for rebated configurations of Button-fix.
The Multijig frame is clear acrylic, so that you can see the workpiece below, and has printed guide marks. It has three clearly labelled apertures dimensioned to suit the Type 1, Type 1 Flush, Type 1 Bonded and Type 1 Metal Fixes.
